We were out for our first competition of 2015 last weekend and we headed off to Blue Barn for the British Showjumping competition. Due to still being without transport, Milli and I were very grateful that Alex came to pick us up again. I jumped Milli in the 1.05m Open and the Newcomers / 1.10m Open. We had an unlucky pole down, fence 1, in the 1.05cm and this soon woke Milli up and she jumped the rest of the round really well! In the Newcomers / 1.10m Open class she jumped a super clear in the first round and then had an unlucky pole in the jump off......the course designer throwing poles about ready for the next class really didn't help Milli's concentration!!! However we were quite fast and still managed to finish in 5th place on 4 faults :) Here's a few pictures from the day: (For more pictures and a video please Click Here) ********************************************************************** Weekend just gone we had another SJ training session with the super David Pearson-Smith. He really has helped wonders with my jumping and gets some fantastic work out of Milli and I, both on the flat and over fences. We had a fantastic lesson, and please see some pictures below which one of my mum's friends very kindly took on her swanky camera: (For more Training pictures of Milli and I please Click Here) SG Eventing

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year!! We all enjoyed the break here and it was nice to have a few extra days off work to get the horses ridden in the daylight :) We had our first outing of 2015 last weekend and I had fantastic lesson with Milli at David Pearson-Smiths. It was very nice to be riding in his inside school, especially as it was chucking it down and blowing a gale outside!! Milli thought that the black haylage wrappers 'flapping' in the wind were Milli eating monsters but she did manage to control herself slightly and jumped brilliantly!! We are off out this weekend to the British Showjumping show at Blue Barn providing the weather isn't too bad! Because I am currently without transport due to selling my truck and trailer I am having to tag along and get lifts with mum and the girls, so I feel it could be a long day as Charlotte is taking 'big' Milli to jump the earlier classes and i'm hoping to jump the last two bigger classes on Milli......it's a good job they have nice food and make lush hot chocolates in the cafe there :) I will report back after the weekend and let you know how we get on.....hopefully we will have a productive and successful day! For the time being, here are a few pictures from last weekends lesson for you to have a look at.... SG Eventing
