Fun SJ outing before the season starts at the weekend.....

Well, with the start of the event season just around the corner for the SG Eventing we thought best get out for a bit of XC schooling. Off we went to Littleton Manor last weekend and both Roxie and Milli were very pleased to see some XC fences, to tell the truth so was I!! They both jumped really well and check out pictures of Roxie and Milli on the Training page in Gallery.

After a quiet start to the week we went to Saddlesdane today for one more SJ competition to prepare us! I took both Milli and Roxie and the jumped really well :)

I jumped Milli in the Discovery class as she tends to play around when jumping the slightly smaller courses.....I think she finds them easy! She jumped a great round but didp pick up 4 faults which was slight baby horse error and slight rider error! She came back to me too quickly after fence 5 which resulted in us getting a bit too close to fence 6 but she leaarnt from our mistake later on in the course which is always good to know!

Then it was Roxie's turn and after her jumping so well out XC schooling at Littleton last weekend I decided I was just going to leave her to get on with it and she jumped the best round she's jumped in a long time!! She jumped a super clear and although it was slightly smaller than normal, height isn't a problem for her it has always been keeping a nice forward rhythm that we have struggled so fingers crossed for good SJ rounds this year :)

We are now getting very excited for the start of the 2013 season for us at Tweseldown this weekend with Milli competing in the BE90 section. Our start times are Dressage @ 12.20, SJ @ 14.40 and XC @ 15.22 so if your there around those times feel free to come and find us to say 'HI'

Check back here early next week to find out how we get on, fingers crossed for a good start to the season.....
