Holiday finished - now time to crack on!!

I'm back from the most amazing holiday I've been on in a long time, all courtesy of my very generous boyfriend! Plus my hand is feeling much much better......win win!! I did do some jet skiing a few days before we came home which perhaps wasn't a good idea as I caught quite a big wave and clouted my hand but it's feeling fine again now so I can't wait to get back on the horses and 'bring on the summer' is all I say!
Milli has had a short holiday and surprisingly she isn't as fat as I was expecting her to be when I returned as Milli does love her food!! She will come back into work now and we are going to go down a slightly different direction with her for the time being and step away from the eventing for the time being. She clearly hasn't been enjoyed our last few runs and although I'm unsure as to why she's not been her usual self XC, I don't want to push her and run the risk of an accident and us getting injured or Milli loosing her confidence all together. We are going to do a few fun shows and concentrate on her show jumping for a while, getting our double clears for second rounds and start jumping some foxhunter classes soon hopefully.

Roxie is continuing to enjoy her time in the field and after cutting open her knee again a few weeks before I went away I pleased to say it's now looking great again....thanks to 'Team Gadd' looking after her whilst I was away! I am still un sure as to what her future holds, I doubt she will ever jump again unfortunately but we may play around and with a spot of dressage this year and then my aim is to put her in foal next year. I would love to put her in foal this year but I'm worried it's getting a bit late now to start trying?! I really like the look of the coloured stallion Amor Z (got a bit of a soft spot for coloureds, as long as they aren't too white that is!!) If you have any ideas of good stallions please let me know as I'm on the search for one now, ideally with good movement and nice / big front end and shoulders as that's Roxie's downfall conformation wise.......TIA.
Diaz has been kept in light work by my mum and sister whilst I have been away and I have a few little shows lined up for her over the next few weekends so she can get out and start to see a bit more of the world now and hopefully she'll be out at her first event very soon, so......watch this space!! :)
