One word......WOW!!!

WOW was, like many other riders who try these
saddles the first word that came to mind when trying my horses in these amazing saddles. The transformation in their way of going was immediate and incredible. They worked so much softer over their backs, powering more from behind with every stride. It was noticed with Milli how much her canter stride increased, more ground covering and uphill! They also felt much happier to work forward with having much more freedom over their back than that offered by the traditional English saddle.

I have always struggled with keeping Milli forward when working on the flat but now she has more freedom over back and under the saddle she is a lot more forward going! So much so that now I'm having to back of a bit with my legs or she ends up rushing which is something I never thought I'd say about her! Now she is working so much more over her back we have been able to progress with her flatwork much quicker and start doing some more advanced movements too. We started work on counter canter before the change to a WOW saddle but she always struggled to remain balanced and kept doing flying changes to the correct canter lead. With the WOW saddle on there have been no flying changes when working on counter canter at all!!!! She feels so much more balanced and uphill in these great saddles and she is coming on in leaps and bounds!

My instructor, Jan commented that the change of saddle had brought her forward 6 months with her flatwork. I my lesson last week we were able to work on movements that Jan was aiming to be doing at the start of the event season next year!! It has taken me a while to get used to her much improved way of going as her strides have lengthened enormously. It is amazing how much a simple change of saddle can improve their way of going! Roxie is back in work now after her little break and is doing some more advanced flatwork moves and her transformation is just a good. She has always had a very good medium trot stride but we have struggled to get her to work over her back but in a WOW saddle she feels like a dressage horse now, only downside is I'm really struggling to sit to her trot now she is working more over her back!! Looking forward to getting both horses out to dressage competitions over the winter to see what the judges think and hopefully better scores!!

If any of you in the Kent area are interested in these WOW saddles then please PM me as we have a demo day next Thursday (31st October) where a range of WOW Dressage, GP and Jump saddles are being fitted to a variety of horses and ponies! Milli is having a jump saddle fitted and I am very excited to see the improvement in her jump with this saddle as she has a very correct way of jumping naturally so we are all very interested to see the improvements with a WOW saddle on!!
